first_img By News Highland – September 14, 2013 Facebook Man arrested on suspicion of drugs and criminal property offences in Derry Facebook Twitter Jim McGuinness to stay as Donegal manager for 2014 season It has been confirmed that Jim McGuinness will continue as Donegal manager for the 2014 season.Following a meeting on Saturday morning, McGuinness confirmed a willingness to stay on in the role despite a disappointing season.McGuinness steered Donegal to an Ulster and All-Ireland title in 2012 but this season, suffered relegation in the league and defeat in the Ulster decider against Monaghan and a quarter-final All-Ireland exit to Mayo.Earlier in the week, Donegal clubs agreed a new championship structure paving the way for  McGuinness to remain at the helm.The Championship will not commence in 2014 until after Donegal exit the Ulster and All-Ireland Championships.The decision was was made by the clubs of the county last night with a margin of 26 to 6 in favour.
