first_imgFuneral mass was held Feb. 15 at St. Francis RC Church, Hoboken, for Audrey F. Radigan, 93, a lifelong Hoboken resident. She passed away peacefully at Carepoint Health-Hoboken University Medical Center on Feb. 10. Audrey worked at Saint Mary’s Hospital as a switchboard operator until her retirement in 1986. Prior to that, she worked at the Sunlight Shop, a family owned and run business. She was an avid knitter and an expert sales person in all yarn textures. The entire staff also provided knitting and crocheting lessons to anyone interested. In her early years she had a job for the well-known Brody’s department store on Willow Avenue. Audrey was predeceased by her husband, Edward Radigan, Sr. in 1974, and two sisters, Adelaide De Palma and Grace Herenda. Surviving are her brother William Bergin, her only son, Edward and wife Maureen. She was aunt to many nieces and nephews. A great joy in her life was her relationship with her five godchildren, Jerry Dargan, Nikki-Ann Corrado, Gerrard Maher, Allison Gaspari and Bill Herenda. In addition, she was blessed by having many friends in Church Towers and to be a member of the Golden Girls of Church Towers. Audrey will be laid to rest with her late husband, Edward at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.Services arranged by the Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, Hoboken.last_img
