Shardul Thakur was born in the town of Palghar, 87 km north of Mumbai, on October 16, 1991.2. The young pacer played a crucial role in Mumbai’s 41st Ranji Trophy triumph this year as he picked up 41 wickets at an average of 24.51.4. Thakur picked up eight wickets in the final against Saurashtra and finished as the sixth highest wicket-taker in the tournament this season.5.
