Vikram finalised for Mani Ratnam’s adaptation of Ponniyin Selvan?

first_imgMani Rathan has always wanted to make a film from writer Amarar Kalki’s epic novel series Ponniyin Selvan. The director has been working on the idea for the past many years. However, budget and the star cast have always been a hindrance.Now, it looks like the Chekka Chivantha Vaanam director is gearing up to make his dream a reality. It was earlier rumoured that Mani is trying to rope in Vijay, Simbu and Vikram for the period project.Reports suggest that Vikram has been finalised for the film. The director has earlier worked with Vikram in Tamil and Hindi versions of Raavanan.The makers are yet to make official announcements about the project.Meanwhile, Vikram is busy with his upcoming film Kadaram Kondan.
